O.k. here is what the bed looks like now, it sort of matches the antique dresser and trunk.....
Leave it or paint it black?
I've even thought about re-painting the room a lighter color and then the bed black......?
What do ya think?

Love your bedroom! If you leave the walls red, i would leave the bed as is it all looks great!
In My Humble Opinion, I love it the way it is! I love the red walls with the contrasting woodwork and the color of the bed looks like it has a fine old patina on it. Its gorgeous!!!!!
I was just looking at your older post on the family room, I would move that long shelf over the wingback and put it over the sectional. Like you said some long would look better there. And if DH could build you a corner cupboard for behind his recliner that would look great! You have alot of nice pieces to work with.
Move stuff and move again till you get it like you want, LOL!
If you paint the bed black I'd wait and see how it looked first before I painted the room, the picture is just wonderful either way but I know what you mean by wanting a change:)

I am always wanting to change things too, but to be honest with you... I think it looks great as is. I love the red walls and everything in your bedroom just sets it off already.
I say it looks great .... as is.

Ok-- the bed looks a lot better in the room, than it did on the grass-- and I actually LOVED it on the grass! ;) It looks just wonderful your the room!

That bed is gorgeous and I love your wall color! Do you have upclose photos of your wall arrangments somewhere on your blog? I would love to see more decorating that you have done. I like the bed the way that it is.
I said in your last post to paint it black...but now that I see the bed in your room, I would leave it the way it is and keep the walls red. Everything looks wonderful!!

Hi! I'm Milah. I stumbled on your blog recently and I'm really enjoying it.
About the bed....I painted a ladderback rocking chair black and I can't tell you how many times I wished I'd left it alone. I'm not going to strip it now because I've done enough of that in the past. All I can say is if there is any uncertainty about it...don't do it. I think your room looks lovely.
Sorry I have no opinion....(having a hard time making up my mind on anything) lol I do have a comment...love your bed....you have to be the best bargain hunter I have seen. I also love
the way the room is decorated...the quilt and all

Oh, I love the wall color!! In that lighting, the bed looks lovely the way it is. I initially voted for black, but either way would look great if the walls stay that great shade of red. The room looks so calming and nice!
I love your whole room....it just makes ya want to cuddle up and relax. My vote?! NO I love the way it is now!!!
