DH just finished this in the shop a few hours ago!
This is going on the trailer for a show we're preparing for in March.....maybe I can have one in the future.......after DD get's a couple of things she would like her dad to make her....
Now......what color to paint it??
I always have the toughest time trying to chose a color for most of the pieces we make.....
Black does really well for us.....but I don't want everything that color......although it might look good......???????
Thought about staining the top, maybe.........and painting the bottom part.......?????
What would you all suggest?

I just found you & glad I did. You make furniture, so do we. I really like your table, black or red does seem to be the color that people are going after now.Visited your picture trail, & it is inspirational! I'll be back again.
I think a stained top and painted bottom would look wonderful.

Just love the table, my DH makes all the furniture I own.
Around this area, the stained top and painted legs are big. But I'm sure what ever you decide will be perfect.
That table is AWESOME!!! I'd love one like that.... oh heck... more than one. LOL

I always like black myself, but a stained top and painted bottom would look good too. I guess I'm not much help. It's an awesome table! haha!

I would do a stained top and painted bottom.
We are making one for our front entry hallway, I am goin to go with black and a dark walnut stain on the top...i think it looks 'prim-rich' with stain and color!
oh, such choices-...lol...good luck, can't wait to see it all done, it's gonna be a beaut no matter how ya choose to finish it!

Nice! Love it! I love tables with the top done in wood stain and the bottom part painted. That is a timeless look, IMO. I think any color would be awesome to paint it, but my choices would be black, red, mustard, or antique white/ivory/cream.

What a wonderful little table. I too am liking the idea of staining the top and painting the bottom. I'm not really a navy person but since you have already done a lot of black maybe you could try it just to be a little different. I'm sure it will look nice no matter what you do to it.

I love this little table. I want one...or two! I think painting and staing would look really nice. Or whitewashing the top and painting the bottom. That would be pretty too. Your husband is very talented, and so are you, the table will look wonderful when it's finished.
