Just thought I'd hop on here for a quick post!!
We have had a wonderful week so far at the shop!!! I've been very pleasantly surprised!
I thank the good Lord for blessing us everyday regardless of if we have sales or not.....but I really am grateful when we do!!!
One of our new customers asked us to build a hall tree/settle bench for her home....
She came and picked it up today!! Yeah!! She said she "loved it"!!
Ahhhh...what a relief and a great joy to know you've pleased your customer when you build something for them!
Here it is:
Next.....I know y'all are probably sick of hearing me post about the room re-do.....I have been pretty busy here lately and not had a chance to get back to any of it....but here's a couple more sneek peeks of some decorating I've done in it....
This is a little "tablescape" I did on a table Mr. Backwoods made....It was in the shop awhile and hadn't sold so I brought it in our house....so what do ya think?
I LOVE this new greenery we are getting in!! It is SO realistic and very reasonably priced!
I will be posting more on the Selling Blog when we get our next order in!!!
Playing with the "edit" features on my computer.....This "grouping" if you will....is a peg shelf that Mr. Backwoods fixed up for me after I told him I needed something to hang the "Shaker Sconce" on that he whipped up....
I have to tell you a funny about that.....when we were at the Shaker museum for the very prestigous (don't know if I even spelled it right...hee hee) Christmas show we did....we were set up in the hall next to the "roped off" museum display rooms that are decorated....well, I turn around and there is Mr. Backwoods standing behind me holding up a museum artifact(shaker sconce) in one hand(kinda like a Vanna White moment) saying..."We've never made one of these before, here's something else we could build!" LOL!! I just cracked up and said "you'd better put that back, that's museum property!!!" Of course he did put it back!! He was just showing me something for another idea.....as if I needed the help!! LOL!!
Thought that was cute of him though! :)
Yes, that's more of those greenery things there....the boxwood looking rings are so nice to decorate with!!! Check out my blog bud Loretta's display ideas that she did with her candlerings on her blog "Under The Wild Cherry Trees". (Look on my Blog List)

She had a nifty idea of suspending one in front of a beautiful scenic window in her home.....
Here's the photo I actually took.....
Is it not amazing what stuff you can find in your own home to re-decorate with?
I had this lil' prim child's dress in one of our bathrooms....next on the re-do list....
Since I'm going with alot of the Brown/Tan/Black "neutral tones" in there I just thought it may look good if I moved it in the bedroom.....I like!!!

That's all I have for now.....
Hope you liked!!!
'Til next time!!!!

Hey! I really think you all did a great job on that bench...I bet that customer was thrilled, It really means a lot when some one really enjoys your work and gives comments like, "they love it" doesn't it. It really makes it all worth while. By the way the room decor looks so nice...can't wait to see one big look see! Also I thought that was side splitting about Mr. Backwoods going all Vanna on you!!! LOL! One more thing the "edit" on those photos was neat good i do something like that on my blog or did you do it with your camera? Just wondering...thanks
Love the bench! :) Beautiful job, as always!
Have a happy day!
I love your gatherings. The basket full of greenery with the goose/swan is beautiful. So simple yet gives a great impact! Nice job on everything.
