*MORE PICS* of OPERATION "ROOM RE-DO"

I know it isn't much....but it's something!
Played around with the placement of a few things in the room yesterday...
I am really liking this more and more! Look and see!

Look what a mess I still have to deal with!! There is stuff all in the bathroom too!
It's beginning to overwhelm me!! The stuff has GOT TO GO!!!
Key Word: " SIMPLIFY"!!! LOL!

Hopefully, the rest of the red will be gone by days end.... YEAH!

I'm trying to figure out what would look best over the bed....oh, I believe I am going to raise the stencil slightly if Mr. Backwoods can cut the stencil away from the other one in a straight line....I know I'd most likely make a mess of it!

Two of my main choices for over the bed are a shaker peg shelf in black with something else Mr. Backwoods's has made, and a couple other elements to hang from the pegs....not going to tell ya everything at once ya know!! The other choice is a couple pics below....keep going....

Don't want to use this above the bed (Below)....but do want to use it in the room....it's solid wood and in a deep brown chippy paint color...I think it's some type of old shop vise...the tag on it said "old book vise".....I can't figure the mechanics of how that would have worked.....but o.k....??
Anyhow....I bought it while we were on vacation in the mountains in October....I just thought it was cool....lol!

This prim shelf is my second thought for over the bed....(below) ???

This star and moon shelf was made by my daddy when he was in his early teens.....He and my uncle had made some and I own two of them...I think....what did I do with that other one?...hmmmm?
This has been a favorite thing of mine for a long time....it's been at least three other colors over the years too! LOL!!!! Not sure where it will go....but I will use it in the romm as well....

I picked up this lil stitchery while we were on vacation too....
Something REALLY has to draw me for me to buy it outside of ordering for my own shop.....
This did....see even in October I was thinking "Browns and tans" for the bedroom!! LOL!!
Notice the textile runner in brown and tan too!! I'm just eat up with it!

This isn't a very clear picture of this framed print.....sorry!
But it's another one I will use in the room (somewhere)....
I've had it for a couple of years and just am fond of what it states..... "Abiding Love Surrounds Those That Trust In The LORD"

So what do ya think?

That's all for now folks!!!
Before I sign off from this post......
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

It really does touch my heart that you'd take the time!

Love everything so far! The lighter colors are really appealing to me these days, even though I truly love cranberry red.
And guess what? My Mama had two fo those moon shelves that are mirror imagines of each other. They are still at Daddy's and will be mine one day. Not sure who made them, but she got them from her Mama before she passed away. I rememebr seeing them at my Mamow's house all my life.
Cool huh?
Have a great week!

Things are looking really good to me. I kind of favored the darker color on your walls but your new color is very refreshing. I love the tan runner and your stitched print looks great with it. Nice lamp by the way. That shade is exactly what I am looking for.
Enjoy your week and hope to see more pics soon.
Hugs,
AMY

I think everything looks fantastic, better than fantastic, AWESOME! Your color choices are so soothing and pretty. It looks like someone else likes your coverlet too and made themself at home on it :) The shelf would look great above the bed and so would a blanket crane. I know your DH could whip one up for you in a flash! Your new stitchery and the print will look great in there too! I think you are doing a wonderful job and I can't wait to see the entire room finished! Hugs, Loretta

I love what you are doing in your room, it looks like it should be in a magazine. I almost lost my breath when I saw your moon shelf, there was on simular to it that hung in our living room when I was a little girl back in the 40's. Haven't thought about it in years.
Can't wait to see how you finish it.

I too have a moon shelf that my deceased uncle made in woodworking class in the 50's. I'm going to go hang mine up in my bedroom right now. Thanks for your decorating inspiration...your house is beautiful. I too like browns and tans. Mimi

Everything looks awesome. Love it! Nice color on the walls and the coverlet is amazing. I will choose the shelf above the bed and the wooden piece above the black chest.

What a transformation! It is simply amazing! I love the colors -I mean I REALLY love the colors!

I think the black shelf would be great above the bed but if I had that bed - I'd hang a primitive portrait over it! Then again, I'd have to find one too! LOL

My daughter has a shelf almost identical to that. My husband'd grandfather made it for my MIL many years ago. They must have been popular at the time.

Looking forward to the rest of the reveal!!

I so love your things! I have 3 of the moon/star/stairs shelves...all a little different from each other. They're ALL in a guest room though! Picked them up at estate sales. Love the room, the white walls...can you believe we're doing that with paint? 10 yrs. ago we'd say, why get rid of the red? haha
