Whew! The last few days have been a whirlwind for me!
Praise the Lord the tax stuff is finally done for another year!
I spent the last three days back and forth to town getting everything in order and mailed on time!
When I woke up this morning.....I woke up so tired!
I feel much better now....but had to grab a little power nap first!
Finally the sun is shining again.....the birds are even singing...they are happy it's shining too! :)
I ran across this picture I had saved for future reference should I ever want to re-do our room....
Remember the red room with the stars on the quilt?
Well, I've loved this quilt like forever....but I also really love the coverelets that are more Colonial inspired....just thought I'd share this photo with you....it's not my room it's one I found on the Country Sampler website a while back.....isn't it pretty?
I have seriously thought about re-painting our room a much lighter color from the dark red I have now....?? Our bed is one quite like this too....and there's that old aqua color (on the tall armoire/cabinet) lately....remember? Of course I'd keep my trunk at the foot of the bed like now....and I'm not wild about the arrangement over the bed in this picture but it has some elements I do like....remember the blanket chest we had in the shop and at one of the shows?
Wouldn't it look quite similar in shape to what is beside the bed here?
Still pondering on painting the bed black or not.....but before we get to this room we are re-doing the kid's bathroom first........
Oh! I have been thinking of my 100th post give-away that will be coming up before too long.....If you'd like to participate I will be drawing a name from the list of followers to my blog.....
I'm so sorry I will not be able to ship outside the US....shipping has absolutely gone through the roof! So if you've been thinking you might would like to join my blog "officially" as one of my following friends....I'd be happy for you to do so!
Then you will have the same oppourtunity to be drawn as the others that have been faithful blog following friends!

That is a great bedroom. I recently bought a coverlet and I love it!. I wish I had a pencil post bed, though! I look forward to seeing the changes you make.
Enjoy the sunny day!
Love the bedroom and I too love the coverlets for the beds. I hope your own room turns out just as great:)

That's a great inspiration photo! I like it for me too! We have that same bed and I toyed with painting mine black, but I think I'm going to leave it the wood color. I love coverlets!
I can't wait to see your bedroom makeover when you get to it! Mine will be quite a ways away before we get to it...bathroom is next!
Have a great evening!

Forgot to say that I'm really love splashes of that aqua color too! I may have to incorporate that into our bedroom! It is such a soothing color, I think! I've always loved blues especially for a bedroom!

I LOVE that room too! I used to have a quilt very very similiar to that one for our queen bed and I envisioned our room like that. Somehow it never happened. I also love the other picture of that same room of the pieces in front of the window. I always thought they should nix the pepperberries over the bed - it's too much. I'd love a bed like this but in the king, it just won't fit in our space. I can dream though - right?
Well I have to say the same love that room...and I am sure your will look just as awesome...I painted all
our bedroom furniture black last summer...
Have a great evening...
Prim Blessings...

I love that bedroom!!! I have an armoire thats needs to be repainted....I think I might need to do it in blue, it is gorgeous!!! Have a wonderful rest of your week too!!:0)
I do like the bedroom too! What a great bed! I have a throw and runner in the same as the quilt, and it is a nice pattern. I have always been partial to log cabin quilts. Have fun! Jayne
LOVE the inspiration picture!! Very warm and cozy!!
Hugs!! Carrie♥
Great picture! Can just see your aqua blue pieces in there. Some of the coverlets are so beautiful, but I still love quilts too. Have fun no matter what you decide on and be sure to post pics! Dawn
That is a gorgeous room! So warm and homey looking. Our room is in serious need of a makeover!

I love your inspiration room it's gorgeous. I have a bed similar but I do't think I want to paint it. I'm scared I will mess it up. I am looking forward to reading your blog regularly.

I love that bedroom!
Why is it that the kids' rooms always come first? It is like that in my home too!
There is something so cozy and welcoming about that bedroom. Mind if I borrow that pic too? Lots of inspiration there!
Have a great weekend!
That room is gorgeous! I can see why you are inspired by it! Black or stained your bed will look beautiful. There's nothing as cozy as a pencil post bed. I was so excited when I got mine and I love it as much as I did the day I got it 8 yrs.ago. I look forward to your giveaway. I flew right by my 100th post and never knew it. I'm at 149 now! Have a restful weekend! Hugs, Loretta
Love the picture of the bedroom, hope you get it fixed just like that soon. I think the lighter shade is nice in a bedroom or any room.
