It's called: "North Shore Primitives" and is located in Washington Courthouse, OH.
You just would not believe the variety of prim goodies behind these doors!
I believe she has nearly everything!
Pay a visit when you can.....you won't be sorry!
I believe the building was originally a feed mill....
Wow! What great "bones" it has for a prim shop!
The big long counter that greets you as you enter, the wonderful worn patina of the creaking wood floors, just the way it's all put together!
There's even a stagecoach upstairs in like a loft-style place!

(Below) This is the shop owner, Vickie....she is such a sweet lady......they were about to close up for the day when we came by there(on our second trip)and I wanted to show DD the inside so badly......it would be a long time before we'd get to stop in again to show her.....alot of miles too.....
When we arrived, I asked the lady by the counter, if she were the owner and she said "no" that "She was upstairs"....
So.....I (like I was on some mission) just proceeded to find her to explain my request and how far we'd driven and that we were heading home and if we could quickly show DD through her lovely shop.....
She was so very sweet when I told her that we (DH & I) had been there once before and I was so inspired and amazed at her shop....I just had to show my DD too.....
She thanked me for saying what I did and gave me a hug!
She said that's just what she needed to hear that day!
Thank YOU Vickie! You and your wonderful shop are truly an inspiration to me!
I really, really appreciate you giving us permission to show our DD around!
She really enjoyed it....and finally got to see what her momma had been going on and on about! :)
I would have dearly loved to have taken more pictures to have shown you.....but I didn't feel that she was comfortable with that.....she did however say that it was perfectly fine to take these.....(below) This is one of the very first things that caught my attention.......It's painted on the floor as you enter her shop....I really notice stuff like that.....It means alot to see His Word in someone's home & business place....
Then.....as you walk up a really narrow staircase and get to the top......this is what is painted on the upstairs floor.....It spoke VOLUMES to me when I saw it and honestly moved me to tears!!I had found a super sweet girl (petite lil' lady really) named Jamie that works there the first time we visited....and just started talking with her....I thought at first that she was the shop owner.....she was really precious to talk to.....I don't know why I did it.....but just the magnitude of this beautiful shop, the thankfulness I have for the Lord blessing me with a lil' shop and the desires of my heart for our business to really do well.....just moved me to tears right in front of her!! I really felt "goofey" showing a perfect stranger those emotions....I'm not a crier.....but it just seemed to come out of nowhere! She was so kind and so funny and just made the visit so much more pleasurable! That gal deserves a raise!!! LOL!!
This is the way it's worded in the version that I read......
"Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy;break up your fallow ground: for
it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." Hosea 10:12
Hope each of you have a wonderful day!
Take care,
Backwoodsprim

I live in Ohio and need to google how far that place is from my home!

I must put that on my list of places that I want to go. It looks so interesting. I'll bet they have great stuff!
Ouch! About a 3 hour drive! But maybe we can stop on my way to Athens...A little out of the way, but looks like it is worth the trip!
What a great old building! Thanks for sharing. Next time I come to Ohio... Dawn

Thanks for a great blog and for sharing pics of the store. I too love the texts of Scripture. May the Lord answer our prayers and revive us in the midst of the years.
I love the scriptures on the floor idea. Brilliant!! thanks for the pics and inspiration, Kim
How sweet of her to let you show DD around. DH and I look for places like this when we travel, I am blessed with a Hubby that loves shopping or looking at older places like this. The building is so fantastic, will put it on our list of places to look at when we travel that direction. we seldom plan a vacation to major spot we just pick an area or state and travel the backroads.
Glad you had a great trip, welcome home, if I forgot to say that in earlier post.

What a wonderful store! I would have been so excited just by seeing the outside of it! I can tell it's just as fantastic inside! It was so sweet of her to show your daughter around! I pray the Lord blesses your business as the scripture said. I love both things she has painted on the floor!
Sure wish we weren't so far away...I'd love to visit there!
