Here's my thrift store finds from yesterday afternoon.....
Found this little package of "faux"chocolate eggs in a vendor's booth when I went to work in mine......they were $1.00 for 9 of them tied up in the little bag....I thought they were realistic looking....some even were a white chocolate color with a dark chocolate "drizzle" on them like candy......they looked like the real thing!I preferred the solid ones for what I wanted to do with them......
This is what I wanted to do with them.....remember the "aqua" eggs that DD and I painted the other day? What do ya think? Hmmmmm.........?Isn't cool how different settings on your camera can change the whole appearance of what you are photographing? I'd really like to know more about that stuff.....
Argggghhhh! I lost one of pics..... :( I'll have to just go with this one....

Found this wooden sugar mold/candle holder (with these big ol' fat votives) in another second-hand shop all for $5.99......I want to grubby/grunge these votives something terrible...wouldn't that look so good?
Can someone please tell me the easy way of how to do that???? Thanks!

Then, I found this set of Bunny boxes for $7.00 in another vendor's booth at the place where I have my booth.....thought they had potential.....these photos show all the sides to the box set......
I had thought about doing the wipe on and wipe off thing with the stain
to tone them down and "prim" them up.....
Again.......what would y'all do?
That's a silly question isn't it? :)
I hear chanting in Blogland.....PRIM THEM! PRIM THEM!! PRIM THEM!!!
LOL!! O.k. already!
Which one of you is saying that????!!!

What awesome finds!
What I do to grub my candles is...brush on some glue and pour on the spices! Allspice...cinnamon...nutmeg, anything you have available!
What a great post and finds...love seeing them.
Lucky you to get three stacking boxes, I only found one at GW and primmed it up for WWW. You will see a pic soon.

Hey girl! Lucky finds! Those little eggs are awesome! I almost ordered some that look just like candy, like you described. can't even remember where from, but I'm thinking it was from Country House.
So you know you got a better deal than I would have! LOL! I love their stuff but they can be pricey.
For your boxes, they are cute, but if it were me, I'd have to prime them and do a prim paint, age & distress on them.
We are supposed to get the rain too, and I have been trying to get "Spot" the bunny ready for it.
Have a great day!
What great finds :)
Can't wait to see those bunnie boxes all primed up. You must share once you done it.
Love love love that aqua blue color. I think it looks great. You captured the shade perfectly. Are the eggs the plastic ones under the chocolate brown?? I bought some aqua ones and they were done over the plastic eggs.
Love all your finds.
Wish I lived closer. I'd be bringing home lots of stuff form your booth. I love your furniture.
Keep on creating.
Rhonda
Love all your fines. The eggs look fantastic with your aqua eggs. The bunny boxes are cute, but personally, (sorry don't hit me) I like them just like they are. I'm a bright color person.. But I'm sure whatever you do to them will look great...I just love the pictures of your home and the great items your hubby makes.....I've got nothing against prim or grunge prim, but I went through that stage back in the 70's when it was so popular. Now for my house, I like bright. I think it's an age thing..
Can't wait to see your new pictures of your home.

What great finds! Can't believe the price of the mold! Check out Tomato Creek, she did a beautiful job on her box. Did you still want to see the bunnies?
Hahaha!!! Prim them - prim them!!!
You are so sweet to post birthday greeting to me! I have so many great birthday messages it made me tear up! Thank You!!!
I got so tickled reading your last post about your glasses. My husband has some that when he has to wear them we call him 'owl eyes'. hahaha!
I started to email you the other day, and I couldn't find your address. If you see this, email me. I don't know how I lost it.
I love your aqua eggs, and the chocolate ones looks good enough to eat!
Take care,
Terry
I love those eggs! Everything looks great. Can't wait to see what you do with those boxes!
