I've been out of comission for a few days....but glory to the Lord, the new doc and a big bad bunch of meds...I'm beginning to feel LOTS, LOTS better!...Hooray!!
Here's a table that DH made that is still waiting for me to finish......I did start to get i t painted (black)and then was feeling so poorly.....I just didn't have the energy to finish it....
DH did get the rest of the paint on it....but I want to do some distressing to it and stain the top.....
I just think it's the coolest thing.......I had seen one in a magazine awhile back and had mentioned to DH that he should try to build one for the show.....he said he thought it was just plain funny looking, but he'd give it a try.....I had one request, that he please not use anything "modern" like a big shiny bolt to use for the swivel piece. No, no, no........
Once again he came up to the challenge and get this......surpassed what I expected...... :)
He carved out wooden pins to use for the swivels......Isn't that cool?!!!
He said next time he built one he was going to make the seat part have a lid that lifted for a storage area......hmmmmm....good idea....I'm all for places to put more stuff! LOL!
Can't imagine any gal not wanting more storage space!!
Oh, DH came up with the nifty design on the bottom part too.....I thought it was very nice and complimented the table well.....

O.k. there's the table.....now without going through the entire spill......but I probably will.......lol!Here I go about this afternoon's doctor visit........
I went to a local doctor today in search of help to get well from this awful stuff I've had for weeks even going on months now.......and to get established in hopes of locating a family physician.....after talking to LOTS of friends and folks that I know, I went to give this DR. a try today......he came highly recommended by at least 6-8 people that (I value what they say) I spoke to about him......
Well, I feel like it's an answer to a long time prayer!
I was rather impressed!
He was very, very kind and said I was quite sick.....I have alot of infection and bronchitis to start with.....my BP was up way more than what it should be and he was concerned about getting that lowered....right away......
I just can't explain to you how well he listened, and how kind he was.....did I say kind??? lol... :)
I went over some other things I've had issues with and he said we would work on them one by one.....the main thing was to get me better from this respiratory stuff and to get my BP down to a better level......then we'd work on these other things.....gradually......
He said (in his foreign accent) "you don't go right in and clean up house first by vaccuming and mopping the floors, until you pick up the papers, straighten the pillows and tidy up things first"......LOL!!
He made perfect sense to me......I told him I was trying not to bombard him with all I had going
on....but it had been probably close to 17 years since I'd had a regular doctor for anything....
Until lately, I hadn't been that sick to need one thankfully......then for the longest time we didn't have insurance......so I just slid things to the back burner and toughed the other stuff out.....
He was sooooo......KIND, he said that he'd be very glad to be my dr. and do his best to help me with these things in order to help me (as well as he would for all his patients), to have improved health if it's where he could.....he also said something about the Lord being the only One that controlled the "Quanity" in the length of life one lived.....but he hoped to help his patients improve their "Quality" of life by being a doctor they could put their trust in to help them"......well it was something like that!
That just spoke VOLUMES to me! :)
Anyhow...........I got two shots at the dr.'s office and a boat load of meds....I go back in two weeks....but he and his staff said if I weren't much improved by Monday to call back and if I needed anything at all before then....they ALL encouraged me to call the office......they were really.....I'm not going to say that word again......so I'll say.....precious! They were all just precious! :)
Sorry for going on and on......my DH said I was just talking "a mile a minute" ever since I've been home.......
Must be these new meds making me a bit "babbley" LOL!!
I'm so thankful the Lord allowed me to find a good doctor right near home...... :)
Thank you for those of you that pray and have been praying for me and encouraged me to get to the dr......
I'm feeling better already!
Take Care All,

Hi BWP,
So glad you are feeling better. That table/chair is awesome.
I love that table ~ what a wonderful job your talented hubby did on it. You know, it makes all the difference in the world when you find a doc that listens to you and that you can trust. Did you say he was KIND, lol.

So happy to hear that you are feeling better. I will have to agree with some of the ladies above... it does make all the difference in the world that you find a doctor that you feel comfortable with, someone that listens to you, someone you can trust and most importantly can prescribe the right stuff to get you feeling better (lol).
Hope you are feeling better everyday!!
As goes for that table... yep, I am in love with it. What a talented hubby you have. My DH on the other hand... not so much (sad face). Can't wait to see it finished.
Blessings,
Lisa
Thank goodness you found a Dr who not only knows what he's doing but will also listen.
I just love the round top on the table.
Your hubby did a great job.
I have one exactly like it that my DH made for me 36 yrs ago, when we first moved in our house. Mine has an oblong top instead of a round one and it does have a storage in the lid.
I now use it as my craft/paint table. If I can find the table under all my junk I'll take a picture .
What a wonderful table. I wouldn't mind having one myself. Props to your hubby. He is a very talented builder. Can't wait to see it all painted and distressed.
Sure hope you start feeling better soon. You have been sick long enough. Having the right doctor makes a world of difference doesn't it? I'm praying for a speedy and full recovery for you.
Blessings,
AMY
That table is outrageous!
Your hubby is one handy man!
Better keep him close...I know a lot of women would love to have a hubby like yours!
I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better...Kiss that Doc!!
Rondell said it best - he sounds like one in a million. I hope he can fix whatever ails you! LOVE the table. I have coveted those for years!!
I am so glad you found a good dr.
They are so hard to find nowdays.
Hope the meds work fast.
Oh my goodness that table is awesome! You two make a great pair with your creativeness.
